Northern roots

Risto grew up in Arkala, a small village in Ylikiiminki near Oulu. Forests, fishing, and berry picking shaped his approach: solutions should work in practice and reduce wasted effort and food.

Vision

Risto wants to make pre-ordering local food straightforward for buyers and producers alike. Fishers, foragers, hunters, and other producers need a direct route to customers. Willit brings the online store, pickup, and daily work into one service.

Risto is building Willit for a world where software can help move work forward. The aim is to connect pre-orders, producers, and pickup in one clear flow.

Availability, storage conditions, and pickup instructions belong in one system so buyers and producers know what happens next.

People stay in control

Producers remain responsible for their products and the Willit team for the service. Automation has boundaries, and exceptions go to a person.

Connection to nature

Foraging

Bilberries, lingonberries, cloudberries, cranberries, nettle, spruce tips, and birch sap have been part of Risto's life since childhood.

Fishing

Northern rivers and lakes, salmon and perch. Fishing has been a lifelong companion since childhood.

Hunting

Moose and deer hunting connects communities and provides responsibly sourced meat.
